Builder Turned Energy Assessor
Before becoming an energy assessor, I spent years working on building sites. I've laid foundations, built walls, fitted insulation, and dealt with the day-to-day realities of construction. That hands-on experience shapes how I approach SAP calculations today.
When I review drawings and specifications, I'm not just looking at numbers on a screen. I understand what actually happens on site, which details are easy to get right, and where things commonly go wrong. This means the advice I give is practical and achievable, not theoretical targets that fall apart in the real world.

How I Work
I work directly with architects, builders, developers and homeowners across England, Wales and Scotland. Because SAP calculations are done from your drawings and specifications, most projects don't need site visits, which keeps things straightforward and costs predictable.
My aim is simple: get your project signed off without unnecessary delays or surprises. That means clear communication about what's needed, honest feedback when specifications need adjusting, and practical solutions when buildings are close to failing compliance.
I don't just hand over a pass/fail result and disappear. If your dwelling fails, I'll explain why and suggest cost-effective adjustments that work on site as well as on paper. The goal is always to find the most sensible path to compliance, not to gold-plate specifications unnecessarily.
